Happy Birthday...

Happy 13th birthday to the most amazing young man I've ever known!!!
Payton, I am so proud of you. You are such a kind, caring, thoughtful young man. It amazes me how sweet you are and how much you want to take care of those around you. You're already way smarter than me... so glad you understand your math homework, because I sure don't!! Your talent as an athlete is so fun to watch. Your leadership on the court, your good sportsmanship, and your competitive spirit are going to take you far! I'm so glad that you and your teammates got a win last night - a great birthday gift! Love you sooo much!!!!

#5...

Here are some pics of P's season...

So far this season, he is the leading scorer for his team.

Announcing the starters before the big game.

So far it's kind of been a frustrating season, but it's not over yet! These boys are extremely talented...they just need a little direction. Let's go Ramay!

Snow Day 2011...

Yesterday we woke up to several inches of snow, so school was cancelled and we got to have another Snow Day!! Elyse was sooo excited when she woke up and saw all the snow outside. We bundled up and headed out to play...
Ryan had gone to Wal-Mart to get a sled, but they didn't have any, so we had to improvise...

She was having a blast!!!

Her first snow angel of the year.

Elly had so much fun running, jumping, rolling, sledding and playing. She looked like such a BIG girl. I kept thinking about last year when we were playing in the snow... Gosh, she's grown up!
Payton was not interested in going out in the snow. at. all. He was content to stay inside and hang out. I think he's ready for some warmer weather!
Today we are home again, and hot chocolate, movies, and cooking are on the agenda.
Happy Snow Day!

Procrastination...

National Boards is consuming my life. I'm trying everything I can to put it off.
Cleaning the toilets.
Scrubbing the floors.
Organizing closets.
Exercising (which I really need to do more of, by the way).
Anything.
I'm running out of ideas.
Pretty soon, I'm just going to have to buckle down and get these papers written.

Although this is by far the most challenging thing I've ever done - makes getting your masters degree in one year while working and raising a young child on your own look easy - it's definitely worth it.

I have learned so much already and feel like my teaching has improved. I really am thankful for this experience (no matter how much I complain about it.) But... I think if I don't pass in the first year, I may just go insane.

Right Now...

I'm lovin'...
Ramay Basketball
Go Indians!
Payton and the team are having a good season so far.

Teen Mom 2... Oh, the drama.

My little lady is a fashionista.
She loves putting together her own outfits.
Kinda' has a Punky Brewster vibe going on.

My current obsession...

The Big 5...

Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband! Five years has flown by... We've had good times and some hard times as well. But I know that no matter what we will always be there for each other. How lucky we've been to have so much fun laughing, watching our babies grow, and enjoying our life together. I love you, Ryan!

Happy New Year...
