My Babies...

I wish I could just slow down time...

to the days when this young man was just learning to walk and run...
smiling with a sweet, toothless grin...
singing and dancing to songs from Pooh Corner...
dribbling his miniature Buzz Lightyear basketball with chubby, little hands...
yelling, "Mama!" and running to give me a hug when I picked him up from school...

to the days when this sweet, little lady was small enough to rock to sleep in my arms...
babbling and cooing with her precious voice...
cuddling with me for her late night feedings...
crawling around the house after her Bubby...
Although I am so amazingly proud of these kids and how wonderful they are... I really wish that I could just slow down time and keep them young a little longer. They are just growing up too fast for their Mama!!

Real Deal in the Rock...

This weekend we are headed down to Little Rock once again...

for Payton's AAU team, the Arkansas Hawks, to compete in a major tournament they put on each year. It's kinda' a big deal... the best teams from around the country (including from as far away as Washington DC and Los Angeles). Some games will be televised. Even Michael Jordan has attended in past years.

Payton is so excited. After a fairly successful trip to the state tournament last weekend (they qualified for Nationals. Yay!), he is really ready to go down there this weekend and hustle!

Let's Go Hawks!!

Here are some pictures from the state tournament last weekend...

Puff Chick...

On the way home from school today Elyse kept telling me that she was a "puff chick".
A puff chick????

I kept running the words through my mind. Trying to figure out what it could mean.

No luck. So I asked her some questions to try to get some more clues.

Finally, I learned that she had fallen off a bike. As Ms. Leah was helping her, she told her she was a "puff chick".

Oh.....

It clicked.

A TOUGH CHICK.

"Because you didn't cry?"

"No, mommy, I didn't cry because I'm a puff chick!"

Happy Birthday Ryan...

Happy Birthday to the love of my life!
We love you because...
You're an amazing father and husband.
You're always up for an adventure.

Always there with a smile, or a hug, or both.

Someone the kids can look up to.

You're always there to lend a helping hand.

Happy Birthday! We love you!!!

Easter Egg Hunt...

This morning the Easter bunny delivered two wonderful baskets full of goodies to our house. Payton got a new movie (The Blind Side), chips, candy, and new socks (his current obsession for some odd reason :)). Elyse got more candy, a movie, an apron, and some new sandals. Check 'em out...

So cute!! After they looked through all their goodies, we went on an egg hunt outside. The weather is perfect today... couldn't have asked for anything nicer!

P-Dub watched most of the action.

But he was always there to lend a hand when his Sissy needed help.

She was so proud of herself. Quite the egg hunter!!!

Sweet girl.

I love seeing these two together. He takes such good care of her and she just absolutely loves her Bubby!

This afternoon we are planning on going for a bike ride and spending time outside since the weather is so nice.

Happy Easter!! I hope you all enjoy this day with the people you love!
