It's a certification process that teachers can go through to be considered "highly qualified". It's very extensive and can take up to three years to complete. It's a lot of work but I know it will help me become a better teacher, so it'll be worth it!
Hi! My name is Christy and I started this blog as a way for our out of town family and friends to keep up with us. My husband, Ryan, and I were married on January 1, 2006. We have two beautiful children, Payton and Elyse, who keep us very busy! Ryan works as a Network and Systems Engineer and loves to go camping and kayaking. I teach 2nd grade and love to go running and shopping. Payton is an excellent student and athlete. He plays football, basketball, and runs track. Elyse loves to do art, read books, dance and be tickled. We are so lucky to have an amazing extended family and wonderful friends who we love so much!
Forgive my stupidity, but what are the national boards? And good luck, whatever they are!! You'll do great!
